The latest “Still Going” record ‘Spaghetti Circus’ on DFA, is quite possibly the best record of 2009. Also we just discovered a new Dolly Parton edit by Eric D on “Beats In Space” be sure to check it out! Come thru.

Our good friend Julia Chiang has done a new installation and a new edition of porcelain apples at The Standard Shop which will open Friday, February 12th.
“All For You” is a limited edition of 50 porcelain apples. Each is unique and comes in a wooden box that has been hand burned with the edition details, signed, and numbered.
Working with the title of the edition, Julia will also create a new installation with Ring Pop candy on the interior wall of the shop. “All For You” will be left to melt and transform over time. The edition is available on The Standard’s website and beginning February 12th will be available at the Shop.
Please visit the shop to see the edition and the installation when you have some time.

Our boy Christopher Glancy gave an interview to folks at Curatedmag about Bodega™ Vinyl Wall Art and more. Be sure to check it out.
CM: What I find most interesting about Bodega is the ephemeral nature of the vinyl. Why choose to make it a one time only application?
CG: The intrinsic character of the vinyl creates a clear divide between a Bodega vinyl edition and the artist’s original artwork. The concept of the project is to make the art of both established and emerging artists alike available to the public at an affordable price. We sacrificed reusability of the edition in order to maintain the highest degree of quality in the work. Since all colors are layered die-cut vinyl as apposed to full color printed on a transparent medium the end result is much higher quality piece. If you want something sacred, buy the original art.
Bodega™ Vinyl Wall Art. Now available for purchase in-store and via our online store.
